Åsele Municipality

Åsele is a Municipality in Västerbotten County, in northern Sweden. The municipality covers an area of 4315.1 km². Of the total population of 3624, 1838 are male, and 1786 are female. The population density of the community is 1 inhabitants per km².

Fredrika is a parish in the municipality. It was created in 1799 and named in honour of Queen Frederica Dorothea Wilhelmina of Sweden.
