.me.uk is part of the .uk Domain Name System. It is the only second level domain in the UK system to have been added since 1996 when Nominet UK was formed to control the .uk Top Level Domain. It is intended for individuals, although there are companies that have registered. .me.uk is operated by Nominet UK under its normal rules and terms and conditions, so there is no actual restriction that only individuals use .me.uk. The use of 'me' has meant that some registrations have taken advantage of the opportunity to use verbs: hate.me.uk, email.me.uk, cuddle.me.uk etc.
