A Short History of the Confederate States of America

A Short History of the Confederate States of America is a memoir written by Jefferson Davis, completed shortly before his death in 1889. According to a bibliography of the works of Jefferson Davis, this work was published in 1890 by Belford in New York. Though unclear from the citation, "Belford" likely refers to "Belford, Clarke & Co.", a publishing house established in 1875.²
