Aero Asia International is the first low cost airline in Pakistan. It started operations on 6 May, 1993 from Karachi and has two main operating bases: Jinnah International Airport at Karachi and Dubai International Airport. It is a subsidiary of the Tabani Group of companies.

Fleet
The airline started operations with BAC One-Elevens and a leased Boeing 707 and Yak-42s . Later the fleet consisted of McDonnell Douglas DC-9-51s and Boeing 737-200s. The Boeing 737-200 it did operate was disposed of by December 2004.
Aero Asia International has acquired a McDonnell Douglas MD-82 (ex Alitalia) and expects to receive 3 similar aircraft during 2005 (ref:Airliner World, March 2005).
