Ahmad Hasan Dani

Ahmad Hassan Dani (1920-) is a Pakistani archaeologist and linguist and is considered to be one of the foremost authorities on South Asian archaeology and history. He is currently Professor Emeritus at the Quaid-i-Azam University and the director of Taxila Institute of Asian Civilizations . He was the first Muslim graduate of the Banaras Hindu University. He is also the recipient of the highest civil award in Pakistan, the Hilal-i-Imtiaz .
