Alabama (people)

The Alabama or Alibamu are a Native American tribe of the United States, originally from the present-day state of Alabama, which is named after them. After relocation to Texas in the 19th century, they merged with the Coushatta (Koasati) to become the present-day Alabama-Coushatta tribe, but retain a separate language, Alabama. [[1]]
