Albany Highway

Albany Highway links Western Australia's capital Perth to its oldest settlement, Albany. It used to be signed as National Highway 95 but has since been downgraded as WA State Route 30. The highway is about 550 km in length, and it passes through the middle of the WA's South West region. Fully sealed all the way.

The change of scenery is dramatic from Perth southwards, passing through unique WA forests to its wheatbelt and finally the temparate forests of the south with their huge gum trees. Typical road hazard include livestock and at night, wildlife.

This highway is popular with tourists both interstate and overseas.
