Albedo (Xenosaga)

Albedo is a nickname for U.R.T.V. Unit #667, in reference to his milky-white hair.

Albedo and U.R.T.V. units #666 (Jr.) and #669 (Gaignun) are the only known U.R.T.V. units that survived the Miltian Conflict. Albedo was born with the ability to regenerate his own body; thus, Albedo cannot die in the conventional sense. He is obsessed with his brother, Jr., whom he accuses abandoned him to the "Song of Nephilim " and subsequent madness. Albedo is linked to the strange and mysterious wave existence known as U-DO, which greatly enhances his psychic and kinetic powers.

In Psychology and Alchemy (1944), Carl Jung refers to Albedo, or "whitening", as one stages of the process of human individuation as symbolized in alchemic terms.
