Alcoholic Metal is metal music where the inspiration is mainly derived from a culture where comsumption of alcohol is central. This is also reflected in lyrics and song themes. In addition to the thrash/speed metal music on which this genre is based, sounds of people drinking beer etc. are usual. German band Tankard are self-proclaimed innovators of this genre.
