Plot summary

When extraterrestrial and cryptology expert Julian Rome is brought in to investigate a mysterious alien object in Antarctica, he gets more than he bargained for: government conspiracy, deadly disease, human betrayal, rekindled romance, and the end of the search for extraterrestrial intelligence.
