Ankleshwar

Ankleshwar or Anklesvar is a town in Gujarat state of India. The city is located approximately ten kilometers from Bharuch (Broach) in Bharuch District. Anksleshwar has an industrial township called G.I.D.C. (Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation), which is the biggest industrial township in Asia.

Today, Ankleshwar has over 100 big and small chemical plants. These chemical plants produce insecticides, speciality chemicals, and paint.

Ankleshwar is well connected by Indian National Highway 8 (Mumbai to New Delhi) and by the Western Railway Division of Indian Railways.

The 125 year-old Golden Bridge connects Ankleshwar to Bharuch across the Narmada River.
