Australia competed at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California. It was the twentieth time that the nation had competed, being one of only three nations (along with Greece and Great Britain) to have competed in every Summer Olympics to that time. This included two times that Australia competed as part of a combined team with New Zealand. Australia competed under the IOC country code AUS.
