Baburam Bhattarai

Dr. Baburam Bhattarai is a Nepalese politician. He is leader of the Maoist rebels.

Early Childhood: Dr. Baburam Bhattarai went to the then most popular high school in Gorkha, Nepal. He always came in first position in his classes throughout his primary and secondary education. Only once, however, during a midterm exam, he was beaten by his fellow classmate, now a popular neurosergeon in Nepal. It is said that he literally cried about it for a week before taking back his position for the rest of his school life.

It has recently been reported that Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has been demoted within the Maoist ranks. Internal disputes within the Maoists have given an impression of factions within the Maoists.
