Baby corn

Baby corn comes from regular maize plants that are harvested early while the ears are very immature. In contrast to regular maize, baby corn is typically eaten whole, cob and all.

In America, it is generally considered part of Asian dishes including soups, salads, stir fries and appetizers. It is almost unknown in China. In Germany, it sometimes appears as an accent in any salad.
