The Bachelor of Fine Arts, or BFA, or B.F.A. is an undergraduate degree. It offers a broad education in the visual arts or performing arts and usually contains a studio or conservatory component, which is a significant part of the program. It differs from a BA degree in that at least half of the classroom time offered to students is in the form of artistic training.
Typically, a BFA degree will require a specialty such as, sculpture, drawing & painting, metals, ceramics, printmaking, fiber or new media.
