Bangash

Bangash is a Pashtun Tribe. They mostly live in District Kohat and major popular villages and Towns namely Tirah, Obbatal, Darsamand, Hangoo, Togha and Tora of N.W.F.P of Pakistan. Even Bangash are great in numbers in India esp in Farukkh Abad and some in Mazandan the province of Iran. The Nawab of Farukkh Abad was from the Bangash Tribe till 1801 when the power was transferred to Britishers. They speak Pashto through out the region.
