Barbara Anderson

Barbara Anderson (born 1926) is a New Zealand writer who has become internationally recognised despite only starting her writing career in her late fifties.

Born in Hastings, New Zealand, she was educated at Otago University where she graduated with a BSc degree in 1947. After a career as a medical technologist and teacher, she went back to university in Wellington where she graduated with a BA degree from Victoria University, Wellington in 1984.
