Beauchief and Greenhill ward is one of the 28 electoral wards in City of Sheffield, England. It is located in the southern part of the city. It covers an area of 6.2 square kilometres and includes the districts of Beauchief, Greenhill, Chancet Wood, Low Edges, Batemoor and Jordanthorpe. The population of this ward in 2001 was 18,600 people in 8,900 households. In the 2004 local elections Simon Clement-Jones, Anthony Holmes, and Clive Skelton, all Liberal Democrats, were returned as councilors for the ward. It is one of the five wards that form the Sheffield Heeley parliamentary constituency whose Member of Parliament elected at the 2001 general election was Meg Munn. The districts of this ward were in the traditional county of Derbyshire, but they were annexed into the metropolitan borough of Sheffield in 1934, thus placing them in the ceremonial county of South Yorkshire.
Parks and recreation
About a third of the area of the ward is taken up by the grounds of Beauchief Abbey and Beauchief Hall . These include Ladies' Spring Wood, Parkbank Wood, Beauchief Park, and two golf courses. Also within the ward are Hutcliffe Wood and Chancet Wood.

Beauchief
Beauchief () is a former village that has become a suburb of Sheffield. It lies on a hill above the River Sheaf and the Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet.
Beauchief, generally pronounced "bee-chief", is notable for two buildings, still surrounded by parkland: Beauchief Abbey, long since converted into a parish church, and Beauchief Hall.
It was named by the Trappist monks, who inhabited the abbey. Beau meaning beautiful and chief meaning headland.
Greenhill
Greenhill (Grid reference: SK345814) is a suburb of Sheffield, England. Nearby settlements include Bradway, Meadow Head , Abbeydale and Woodseats.
Greenhill has a library, primary school, church and shops. It is linked by road to the M1 motorway and to the centre of Sheffield. There are also several bus routes into the centre including the 1, 76, 25, 25A, M17 and 275, which even goes into Derbyshire.
