Bill Condon

William "Bill" Condon (born October 22, 1955) is an American screenwriter and director.

He got his start directing low-budget features such as Candyman 2: Farewell to the Flesh. He came to prominence with his film Gods and Monsters, which he wrote and directed. (He adapted the screenplay from a novel written by Christopher Bram.) He was nominated for, and subsequently won, the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay. He was also nominated for the same award for the Oscar-winning adaptation of the musical Chicago. Most recently, he wrote and directed the film Kinsey, which chronicles the life of the controversial sex researcher Alfred Kinsey.
