Brandendamm

Brandendamm (from "Branden" the Wendish inhabitants of what is now Brandenburg and Sachsen-Anhalt, and "damm", usually a causeway across lakes and swamp in the sandy heathlands of Prussia) was a major crossing of the Oder in old Brandenburg. Upon it grew the modern towns of Frankfurt an der Oder, Germany and Slubice, Poland.
