Caminemos pisando las sendas

Caminemos pisando las sendas (Let Us Tread the Paths) is the national anthem of Equatorial Guinea. It was written and composed by Atanasio Ndongo Miyono, and has been in use since its adoption upon independence from Spain in 1968.

Spanish lyrics

Caminemos pisando las sendas
De nuestra inmensa felicidad.
En fraternidad, sin separación,
ˇCantemos Libertad!
Tras dos siglos de estar sometidos,
Bajo la dominación colonial,
En fraterna unión, sin discriminar,
ˇCantemos Libertad!
ˇGritamos Viva, Libre Guinea!
Y defendamos nuestra Libertad.
Cantemos siempre, Libre Guinea,
Y conservemos siempre la unidad.
ˇGritamos Viva, Libre Guinea!
Y defendamos nuestra Libertad.
Cantemos siempre, Libre Guinea,
Y conservemos, Y conservemos
La independencia nacional.

English translation

Let us tread the paths
Of our great happiness.
In brotherhood, undivided,
Let us sing for freedom!
Behind us are two centuries
Of colonial domination.
In brotherly unity, without discrimination,
Let us sing for freedom!
Let us shout: Long live Guinea!
Let us defend our freedom.
Always singing of our free Guinea,
Let us stay united.
Let us shout: Long live Guinea!
Let us defend our freedom.
Always singing of our free Guinea,
Let us keep our nation independent,
Let us keep our nation independent.
