Canadian Medical Association

The Canadian Medical Association (CMA) is the largest association of doctors in the Canada and represents their interests and the interests of patients nationally. The CMA publishes the Canadian Medical Association Journal (CMAJ) and through accreditation of educational programs works to insure national standards in the health care.

The CMA strongly supports the current single payer health care system, but has not always.
