Candy Dulfer

Candy Dulfer is a smooth jazz alto saxophone player who was born in the Netherlands. A backup member of Prince's band, she recorded the 1991 hit "Lily Was Here," and that song began a long and successful career.

Dulfer is the daughter of tenor saxophonist Hans Dulfer, and they collaborated together on a duets album.

She has become an inspiration to other female instrumentalists, including guitarist Joyce Cooling and saxophonists Pamela Williams and Mindi Abair.
