The Chicago Bears Shufflin' Crew was a novelty act consisting of a group of Chicago Bears football players in 1985 rapping a song called "The Super Bowl Shuffle". The music was composed by Bobby Daniels and Lloyd Barry , and the lyrics were written by Richard E. Meyer and Melvin Owens .
"The Super Bowl Shuffle" was nominated for a 1986 Grammy award (Best Rhythm & Blues Vocal Performance—Duo or Group), a first for a sports team. The Shufflin' Crew lost to Prince and the Revolution's "Kiss."
Proceeds from the sales of the single went to charity.
