Clark L. Hull

Clark Hull was an important American psychologist. He was known as a mechanistic behaviourist. He attempted to explain all of human behaviour by way of mechanical laws of behaviour. Hull thought that behaviour could not only be predicted and controlled, but the strength can be predicted. He believed that humans work like machines and that the machine works on some types of conditioning. Hull is known for his debates with Edward C. Tolman.
