Coursing

Coursing is the pursuit of game by dogs—chiefly Greyhounds—running by sight, not by scent. The object is not to catch the hare, but is rather a test of speed and agility between two Greyhounds. The first set of English rules for coursing was drawn up in the reign of Elizabeth I.
