Darvel

Darvel is a town in East Ayrshire, Scotland, situated nine miles east of Kilmarnock. The town has a population of approximately 4000 people. Darvel used to have have a major lace industry and was the birthplace of Sir Alexander Fleming, the discoverer of penicillin.
