Dicasteries (from Greek: δικαστ, judge/juror) are the central offices of the Roman Curia in which the stewardship of the Roman Catholic Church is entrusted. Examples of dicasteries are the Secretariat of State , Congregations, Tribunals, Councils and Offices, like the Apostolic Camera , the Administration of the Patrimony of the Apostolic See , and the Prefecture for the Economic Affairs of the Holy See.
The dicastery is presided over by either a prefect or a president.
