Dumfriesshire

Dumfriesshire is a traditional county of Scotland. Its county town is Dumfries. It borders the Stewartry of Kirkcudbright to the west, Ayrshire to the north-west, Lanarkshire, Peeblesshire and Selkirkshire to the north, and Roxburgh to the east. To the south it borders the English county of Cumberland.
