Eleuthere Irenee Du Pont

Eleuthere Irenee Du Pont (1771 - 1834) was a U.S. (French-born) chemical industrialist and gunpowder manufacturer. He was the founder and eponym of East I. Du Pont de Nemours and Company in 1802.
