Federation President

The President of the Federation Council is the leader of the United Federation of Planets in the fictional Star Trek universe.

The 23rd-century federation president Ra-ghoratrei was shown in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (played by Robert Ellenstein ) and Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (played by Kurtwood Smith).

President Jaresh-Inyo, a Grazerite (played by Herschel Sparber ), held office in 2372 shown on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (episode: "Homefront"). He faced an attempted coup led by several Starfleet officers caused by paranoia over Changeling infiltration.

In an episode on Startrek: Voyager when photonic (holographic) entities are attacking Voyager, Voyager's EMH pretends to be the "President of Earth" in an effort to halt hostilities between the holograms and Voyager.

The president's office is in Paris, France, on Earth.
