Federation of Arab Republics

The Federation of Arab Republics (1972-1977) were a brief union of Libya, Egypt, and Syria.

It is not to be confused with the United Arab Republic (1958-1961) which was a somewhat longer union in the mid 1950's of Egypt and Syria. Egypt still styles itself the UAR.
