Futaleufu River

The Futaleufu River starts high in the Andes near the Argentinian border. It is known for it's deep blue waters created by glacial till deposited in the river. The river is famous for it's white water currents, which attract rafters and kayakers from all around the world. The Chilean government has recently proposed creating a hydroelectric dam, which may jeopardize the free flow of the river in the near future.
