Galway Bay

Galway Bay is a large bay on the west coast of Ireland, between County Galway (Connemara) on the north and County Clare (The Burren) on the south. Galway city is located on the north-eastern corner of the bay. The bay is about 30 miles long and from 7 miles to 20 miles in breadth. The Aran Islands are to the west across the entrance and there are numerous small islands within the bay.
