Gator can mean:

• A short form of alligator. This apocopation of the word is especially associated with Florida, and the sports teams of the University of Florida at Gainesville are known as Florida Gators (although that term is most commonly used to refer to the University's football team).
• Gatorade is a popular brand of sports drink, developed at the University of Florida.
• A spyware program made by Claria Corporation that serves internet advertising without the consent of the user. Like many other vendors, Claria claims its software is not spyware.
• A popular swimming pool game
