Geographical profiling

In forensics, geographical profiling is the study of the geographical nature of a crime scene in order to solve serious crimes, especially murder. It is related to and follows the same principles as psychological profiling .

Geographical profiling concerns itself with such factors as the location of the crime scene, the difference in the sites at which the victim may be spotted, followed, attacked, murdered and disposed of and any patterns that emerge in the study thereof.
