High end audio

High end audio refers to audio equipment that is created to be the best, regardless of what it might turn out to cost in terms of price. High end audio equipment can be extremely expensive. People who buy this type of equipment are sometimes called audiophiles.

High end audio can refer to the build quality of the components, but more specifically, refers to the ability to reproduce more accurate music. This can be judged on a variety of levels, from accuracy to warmth, thus fueling the ever expanding high end audio market. Audiophiles tend to look at high end audio as a hobby, rather than a product that they purchase. It involves the careful tuning of a series of components, including the room itself.
