House Rabbit Society of Australia Inc.

The House Rabbit Society of Australia Inc. is a nonprofit group promoting the health and welfare of rabbits.

The Society campaigns to stop the spread of deadly diseases in Australia that are spread specifically to kill rabbits. Another goal of the society is to have the vaccine against Myxomatosis legalised in Australia (the vaccine is already allowed in Europe, including the UK, and has been for many years).

The Society promotes the adoption of abandoned and homeless rabbits rather than people purchasing rabbits from breeders. The society does not accept rabbit breeders as members.
