Houston Museum District

The Houston Museum District is an area of Houston, Texas.

The Museum District is named as it houses most of the city's museums. The district is centered around the pink-colored Wyndham-Warwick Hotel and the large water fountain next to it. The Museum District also houses Rice University, the University of Saint Thomas, the Houston Zoo, and Hermann Park .

Some of the museums include:

  • Holocaust Museum
  • Houston Children's Museum
  • Houston Museum of Health and Medical Science
  • Museum of Contemporary Arts
  • Museum of Fine Arts Houston
  • Museum of Natural Science

The area is served by two light rail stations on the Red Line of the METRORail light rail system. One of the stations is used for northbound traffic and one is used for southbound traffic.
