Huaxia

Huaxia is a term with multiple meanings:

  • The term can refer to an ethnic group of today's northern China.
  • It is also taken as a name referring to the Chinese nation and culture. In particular, it refers to Chinese people considered beyond geographic boundaries, to include overseas Chinese.
  • It is also a Chinese weekend school organization, which principally teaches Mandarin Chinese (using simplified characters). It offers Chinese language classes from pre-kindergarten to 9th grade and some branches of the school offer "advanced Chinese". It also offers extra-curricular activities such as martial arts, drawing, dancing, and guitar. It currently operates in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.
