Huyton

Huyton is a town in the Metropolitan Borough of Knowsley, Merseyside, England.

It is to the east of Liverpool along the M62 motorway, and is just to the west of the M57 motorway that marks the edge of the town.

Huyton recently had a new Asda Walmart complex built near the main village centre. We have our own Air Training Corp, 1982 (Huyton) Squadron.

One College, with links to Kirkby College, Two Secondary Schools, Five Primary Schools.

Former Prime Minister Harold Wilson was Member of Parliament for Huyton. Huyton is also the town in which Liverpool and England footballer Steven Gerrard was raised. It also was the birthplace of actor Sir Rex Harrison who starred in films such as My Fair Lady and Cleopatra. Footballer Peter Reid and comedian Freddie Starr were also born in the town.
