Hydra-Centaurus Supercluster

(Redirected from Hydra Supercluster)

The Hydra-Centaurus Supercluster, or the Hydra and Centaurus superclusters, is a supercluster in two parts and the closest neighbour of Milky Way's Local Supercluster. The cluster includes four large galaxy clusters in the Centaurus part (A3526 (Centaurus cluster),A3565 , A3574 , A3581 ) and the proximity Hydra Cluster (A1060) and Norma Cluster (A3627). Apart from the central clusters, which are 150 to 200 millions of light years away, several smaller clusters belong to the group.
