Inkubus Sukkubus

Inkubus Sukkubus are a British Goth rock band formed in 1989 by Candia McKormack and Tony McKormack .

Formed in an English college, Inkubus Sukkubus were originally a tribute to goth music bands Bauhaus and Siouxsie and the Banshees. Now with nine albums released, Inkubus Sukkubus are a religious neopagan band, known for their odd spiels about demons, vampires, and the like. Their songs are largely inspired by their interest in and practice of witchcraft and paganism, which has gained them a certain notoriety and underground status as being the 'voice of modern-day paganism'. They sometimes use unconventional instruments such as dulcimers (can be heard in their song 'Lucifer Rising' on the Supernature album).

Lineup

  • Candia McKormack: Vocals, Lyrics
  • Tony McKormack: Guitar, Production, Songwriting, some Vocals (Ex-Screaming Dead , Also in Vampire Division )
