Inter-American Defense Board

The Inter-American Defense Board is a military War College maintained by the Organization of American States whose purpose is to educate and promote the common military defense of the Western Hemisphere. The Inter-American Defense Board trains and educates military officers of all Organization of American States members on joint and unified operations between allied nations. The majority of the focus of the Inter-American Defense Board is on the stability of Central America.

The Inter-American Defense Board Medal is an international military decoration issued to those military officers who serve tours of duty at the Inter-American Defense Board.
