John Scott "Jack" Morris (born May 16, 1955 in St. Paul, Minnesota) is a former Major League Baseball right-handed starting pitcher. He played in 18 big league seasons between 1977 and 1994, mainly for the Detroit Tigers.
A five-time All-Star, Morris won 254 games throughout his career, four World Series (with three different teams), and pitched a no-hitter. He is widely seen as one of the most dominant pitchers of the 1980s. Maybe his most memorable game was Game 7 of the 1991 World Series, in which he gave a marathon 10-inning shutout performance against the Atlanta Braves. The Minnesota Twins scored the game's only run in the bottom of the 10th to win the Series, with Morris being named as the Most Valuable Player.
