James McFadden

James McFadden (born April 4, 1983) is a football player (striker) currently playing for Everton F.C..

He was born in Glasgow and is known as a big Celtic fan. He joined Motherwell at a young age and made his debut when he was just 17 years old. He gained his first Scotland cap at the age of 19 on a Far East Tour against South Africa.

His performances grabbed the attention of Scotland manager Berti Vogts and he became a regular in the Scotland set up scoring his first goal against The Faroe Islands in a Euro 2004 qualifying match on September 6, 2003 in a 3-1 win at Hampden Park.

Everton won the battle to sign the talented striker from Motherwell. Boss David Moyes spotted the potential and completed the £1.25 signing.

On the 1st of January 2005 McFadden Scored his debut goal for Everton during their 5-2 defeat at Tottenham, after almost a year at the club. One week later he scored his second goal in a third round FA cup tie against Plymouth.

McFadden has made several appearances for Everton since his transfer and is regarded as a good prospect for the future of both his club Everton and perhaps more so for the Scotland national football team.
