Lake Towada


Lake Towada is Japan's largest caldera lake. It is located in Aomori prefecture, and lies 400 meters above sea level. The lake is drained by the Oirase river. The bright blue color of the lake it due to its depth. The lake is a popular tourist destination and has many waterfalls. It is very refreshing to go swiming in this lake.
