Levan Varshalomidze (b. 1972) is a Georgian politician and the Chairman of the government of the Ajaria Autonomous Republic.
Mr. Varshalomidze, former chief of the state-owned Georgian Railway Company, chaired the Presidential Interim Council of Ajaria after the ouster of Aslan Abashidze, the region’s authoritarian leader, in May 2004. Following the local legislative elections of June 20, the Ajarian parliament approved him as the Chairman of the Autonomous Republic’s Government on July 20 2004.
