Marion LeRoy Burton

Marion LeRoy Burton was the second president of Smith College, serving from 1910 to 1917. He left Smith to become president of the University of Minnesota from 1917 to 1920. In that year, he became fifth president of the University of Michigan, serving until his death of a heart attack in 1925.

HE was born in 1874 in Brooklyn, Iowa. He was a minister. He wrote several books.
