Melt sandwich

A Melt sandwich is a type of Sandwich consisting of toast bread, tuna with or without mayonnaise and a topping of grated cheese. The sandwich is then grilled until the cheese is melted. It is then served as a open face sandwich.

A variation of the grilled cheese sandwich is made with tuna and cheese grilled as a closed sandwich.
